The Best Times to Take A Cruise"Captain Jack, What's The Best Times to Take A Cruise?"
Good question
dude... (sorry, always wanted to say that!) The answer however, isn't that simple. The right time for you,
can very well be the wrong time for me. But I guess your question is
primarily motivated by the price of your cruise. There is a horrid
truth to be told. A $500 cruise can turn into a nasty $1000 cruise
overnight without warning. I'm not saying it happens often, but it does
happen. It has to do with that basic rule of economics: demand and
supply. But here is the good news: bargains are all over the place. You
just have to find them...
Booking a cruise is a truly magic
experience. Most of the time, you'll be limitless in wherever you
wane go and the countries you'd like to visit. But, the thing that
you'll have to make up one's mind is the right time for you to get
aboard. Let’s face it, not everybody gets a choice as to when
they can take their holidays. Don't we all have to worry about school
schedules or work schedules? But, the more options that you have
in the times that you can cruise, the better your options are going to
be. There are plenty of them too. But, to break it down,
we’ll put it quite simply as traveling in the off season, which
is generally the winter months, or traveling in the travel season which
includes summer and holidays from school.
Off Season Travel versus In Season There are allot of benefits to both
off season and on season cruises. Really, it is up to. But, if
you do have a choice, then look at what is available. First in
the cruise season, you might find more people to travel with. You can
get your group together which can help you to negotiate lower rates.
You can also find a wide range of options in where to travel as most
cruises run during this time period.
But, if you travel in the off season,
you'll probably save quite a bit of cash. Many cruise lines
will offer spectacular packages for this period. You usually
don't need as much time to book these trips either. And there are fewer
crowds as well.
Now, of course, there may be a limit
to the locations that you can travel to due to winter weather. But that
doesn't have to be a bad thing. You may even find that some areas, like
the Caribbean, are more enjoyable in slightly cooler weather. Believe
me - that's so true!
With all of that said and getting
back to the question: I can't tell you what's the best time to make a
cruise. If you have the choice, if money is not an issue, if you can
stand the heat of the tropics and like a lively crowded ship - then by
all means book a cruise in the heart of the season. If your budget is
an issue or if busy schedules limit your choice to off season, then
book a cruise anyway. It'll still be an adventure you'll never forget.
